I have considerable international experience, as a professor, academic leader, and attorney.

As a professor I have taught comparative law and justice and as an academic leader I, with colleague Chen Ferguson, conceptualized, initiated, and led the creation of Miami Hamilton’s first international programs.

Beginning in 2005, Miami Hamilton hosted several seminars for Cincinnati area businesses on how to do business in China.  In 2008 the initiative broadened its reach by organizing a summit of M.B.A. students and university leaders from Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, PRC) and business, government, and education leaders from the Cincinnati area.

In subsequent years, Miami Hamilton hosted students and university leaders from Communications University China, Nanjing (Nanjing, PRC), Xi’an Jiao tong University (Xi’an, PRC), and Liaoning Normal University (Dalian, PRC) to study and explore partnerships. We also hosted a number of Chinese arts who performed on campus.

In Spring 2010, Miami Hamilton sent its first group of study abroad students to Xi’an Jiao tong University to study and received its first group of international students from that institution in exchange.
